Controversial Comedian Robert Schimmel was arrested in Los Angeles after allegedly beating up his wife,Melissa Schimmel.
The 59-year-old, who has appeared on The Howard Stern Show, Conan O’Brien and HBO was arrested early Saturday morning.The charges were a result of an alleged confrontation between Schimmel and his wife Melissa which resulted in observable injuries to Melissa.He was later released on $50000 bail.
He divorced his first wife Vicki three times,They met in 1977, and they had four children together,. When his cancer went into remission, he married his daughter's friend, Melissa, who is half his age .
Schimmel has released several comedy albums, the famous one are Robert Schimmel Comes Clean,I Can Get This Car, If You Buy This CD, Unprotected and Reserection.
He also penned a book titled Cancer on $5 a Day: How Humor Got Me Through the Toughest Journey of My Life.
